Why are people assuming that the 'refit' of News 24 is to blame. I don't see where people are getting this from?

One comment on a few pages back didn't mean it actually has something to do with it.

It could have a knock on to the relaunch. I gather they were on a very tight schedule, so anything which disrupts the preparations may cause them to delay it

Em but what's being said here is that the news 24 refit is to blame.

Personally I can't see how losing power on a friday morning could effect the relaunch on Monday. What are they going to do today, saturday and sunday. Sit on their backsides watching the paint dry?

I can assure you they have a very busy weekend planned. There is an awful lot of programming and piloting in order to get the new studio to actually work. Any restriction of access to stage VI could have serious consequences

Either that or they're moving to the nationals studio - doesn't that have "robotic" cameras rather than ones that need an operator?

I wonder whether they will be able to use the usual studio for the morning bulletins. If not I think we may get LDN doing it instead

Working Lunch is on at 12pm so presumably they'll have to build that set in TC7 shortly

There's also still no News24 DOG which is another indication that the transmission chain still isn't in it's normal configuration.

There are no robotic cameras used in News any more.

All the cameras need an operator. Some have a person behind the camera, some are controlled remotly by the Director or by a racks engineer.
