Why haven't the regular N24 presenters taken over? (much as I admire Bill & Sian of course!)

On the way to Millbank?

or when the News 24 is ready for use they would need to leg it from the breakfast studio to the News 24 one during a short news package!!!

Why are people assuming that the 'refit' of News 24 is to blame. I don't see where people are getting this from?

One comment on a few pages back didn't mean it actually has something to do with it.

It could have a knock on to the relaunch. I gather thay were on a very tight schedule, so anything which disrupts the preperations may cause them to delay it

Em but what's being said here is that the news 24 refit is to blame.

Personally I can't see how losing power on a friday morning could effect the relaunch on Monday. What are they going to do today, saturday and sunday. Sit on their backsides watching the paint dry?

Millbank at Westminister is the studio they go to if TVC is unable to be used

Yeah, I think Steve was suggesting that the reg N24 presenters were on their way there, not that he didn't know where it was!

We now have a live report from Gloucester, looks like the aspect ratio is a bit off though

Re Steve's post about Sustain feed: Yes, I suppose it would. And MHS is normally fed into TVC via a main line anyway, because it's a source used by Presentation as the sustain feed during the other opts.

I notice there's now a live from Gloucester on-air..

Sian seems to be leaving but Bill's staying...

Currently with Kate and the news...

9am GMT - BBC World still recorded (showing an hour long double-head "BBC News" bulletin which I assume was from 5/6h GMT??)

Breakfiller shows correct time so presumably it's just the studio part rather than the transmission chain that is out of action...

Yes, unlike News 24, World's news programmes come from a studio and everything else comes from Presentation on the other side of the building; just like the other BBC channels.

Cut to an edition of HardTalk now...I presume we're be back to normal at 10

So TC7's sustain of News24 comes to an end (or at least takes a break) while HARDtalk is shown. Now taking bets as to what happens at 10am!
