Early bet for Monday: News 24 and World have identical brand new graphics packages...followed by millions of forum messages stating that World's presentation is "obviously better"

Almost as predictable as those who slate the entire relaunch on the basis of one still image of the logo.

One thing that hasn't been discussed in this thread (at least not in the last 25 odd pages!) is whether the new graphics set includes a permanent ticker or temporary ticker or none at all?

My total quess would be that they will not have a ticker as it hasn't been mentioned in any of the articles and its a fairly major thing which I would have thought would have been mentioned.

The new set looks really good, well what we;ve seen of it, am looking forward to monday - thank God for flexi huh!

The BBC World studio is White red and black, so all that is needed is some glass behind the desk and a new desk...

And also, what about the pre-news ident on BBC One. Will this appear on Monday?

I really think that they should bring back the clock.

I suppose we will see BBC News Online updating their graphics to fit too.

That's what I thought. but then I remembered they spent all that money on the new kit to generate a ticker from the BBCi feed (not technical I know) which only started to be used a couple of months ago for Hutton....maybe this was always planned to be in the new look?

I hope you're joking Wink As much as I'm intrigued by the new look, I'm fairly confident that it'll look pretty much same come 6pm Monday evening compared to 9am. Plus I can expect a 50+ page thread with millions of screen captures of cockups and the like....I notice the two images scanned in from Ariel today have taken this thread ahead of "ITV News Changes" in about a quarter of the time!

Well as far as I can see it, on Monday we're looking at...

--- BBC NEWS 24 relaunch (graphics, studio and music package)
--- BBC WORLD shuzzle (graphics at least)

...and the possibility of...

--- BBC ONE news ident (if this is true)
--- BBC Weather graphics update (the website just seems too different)
--- BBC ONE news update to graphics

Who knows?

And I have no idea what "shuzzle" means.

I wonder if Breakfast will update their graphics too. If the clock is moved they'll have to, won't they? I suppose that would happen Monday morning, too.

Can anyone actually confirm whether the BBC Weather (see what I did there Rolling Eyes ) website (click here has actually changed today (I can't say I've visited the site for years)

EDIT: the maps haven't changed e.g.

If not today, it's certainly recent. But just look at this page, you can see how radically different it is. I'm not saying this means the graphics will change, but it's certainly and intriguing thingy.

The weather graphics themselves haven't changed, but if they were to change, they would simply changed when new ones are generated and updated wouldn't they?
