Don't like the idea of red/orange/black - sounds a bit dark to me. What happened to the red/white/black, or is that just for 1/6/10?

Was there a picture of the logo in Ariel or are people just getting it from the pictureless online version?

The online version only has text. The magazine has pictures.

It was shown on the front page of Ariel. No pictures on the electronic version though.

I await the typical response on this forum... lots of hype building up to the event, and then when it hits, a load of posts saying they don't like it....

Me cynical ?? Bah !!

Still, I do expect this forum to go into melt down next Monday, resulting from the longest thread ever about the changes in presentation. BBC News 24 always seems to have been the most popular discussion on this forum, for reasons I'm not sure I can fathom.

It's Peter Dobbie's eyes and cheeky smile - they mesmerise the audience. Well, they do me anyway.

The man is an adonis.

I mean, just look at him:

I bet you most members of the public don't even know what Ariel is.

Of course the public know, it's what they put in their washing machine! Laughing

so BBC World is changing on Dec 1st along with News 24? I hope it turns out well.

I don't think anything drastic will happen to the studio.

I hear News24's new desk is like the BBC One desk in style, oval, with the News24 logo on the front against a dark background. Prob see summat similar for the World Newsroom.

So when will BBC World change their set, will BBC World News be in a temp setup or something over the weekend?

BBC World are not changing their set, although I gather a rebrand is on the cards for one of the sub sets in the new year.

the team has devised a graphics sting which will fill the entire screen.

Oh joy.

Fox News presentation-BBC style.

It surely could not get any worse.

That said, sounds pretty promising. The presentation side of things sounds like they have sat down and really thought about doing something different (with a few exceptions, where they are basically just going to be building on what Sky have already done).

I still don't think I will be able to warm to the channel, though. The frosty presenters can not have personality makeovers like the set.

Just to add - obviously it'll win News Channel of the Year thanks to this. That is unless Sky come up with something pretty spectacular come their revamp in the very near future.

Speaking of tired, frosty and boring, when can we expect a c@t relaunch? Razz

Actually Sky News BBC style- have you not seen the "Sky News LIVE" full screen sting that leads into live two headers on your beloved channel...I'm pretty sure it'll be this kind of idea but with "BBC News 24- Breaking News"
