Here's a random idea: what about using the BBC News red globe in the titles, but having it rendered based on where the major stories are taking place that hour? Would be quite nice...

Interesting you mention the globe. I've heard what the new News 24 logo looks like and I can say that this includes a globe. The globe is said to be important to the image of the new News 24, such as breaking news and such like.

Of all the news titles shown in the UK, I can only think of fives which doesn't use a globe or variant. It's a bit like whinging about Sky copying the BBC, as they both have desks.

Err- yes - but so have countless other news programmes - from the Nine O'Clock News to Newsnight over the years. The BBC had a globe as the ident for BBC One for goodness knows how long - I don't think :

Using a Globe = Copying Sky

Exactly. The News 24 use of the globe looks as though it will be far more reminiscent of the old BBC1 globe than Sky's current use of it.

Sorry, I was being ironic (hence the rolling eyes) as I could see the 'Sky Sh*ggers' like c@t accusing News 24 using a globe in it's titles as copying Sky.

Oh f-ck off, idiot.

I do wish people on here would stop trying to speak for me, it really is getting rather irritating.

If you're too stupid to form your own opinions, please stop trying to leach off mine.
