I'm more interested in the music.

Will David Lowe be producing some new music, based on the current BBC News family music, but maybe more powerful.

Some orchestral parts mixed with the current synthed style could sound very good.

I'm not betting on Lambie Nairn to produce anything stunning in the way of new titles. Their recent work has been rather poor to say the least.

lol Jamez your never one to fail to amaze me.

I recall on one occasion were you mocked those who were interested in the music, yet yourself are. lol

Anyway I am interested but I'd rather not have some classical styled music brought in, that sort of takes it back to the stereotypical news music of horns & trumpets. I can imagine it being brought down a few notes or keys so it's a bit more worldy/breakfast sounding.

As long as it's nothing like that Quarter way headline bed I'm sure it will be fine. That bed is sort of breakfast style 24/7 yet it's so annoying, it's too quiet and all you hear is thump thump and the little twinkle

I'm a muscian, of course I would be interested. You aren't, so your interest cannot be justified in the same way.

Lol I do actually have an interest in music, just because I don't play an instrument doesn't mean I'm not interested.

Besides I have begun college and my course does include music production.

This has been bugging me for some time so I thought this would be the thread to ask it:

A question about the current set, from time to time in the background parts of the red wall will appear tinted green as theres a different light shinning on that part, then suddenly it will dissapear. I've been watching breakfast this morning and to the left you could clearly see a green glare, after one report it was gone.

Is this a lighting problem or something to do with the cameras?

Only a stab in the dark, but behind the presenters is a floor-to-ceiling sheet of glass IIRC, and therefore you can very often see a reflection. It might be the monitor next to the camera that is causing the reflection of light?

I THINK THAT THE BBC SHOULD BRING BACK THE MUSIC FROM THE 1993-1999 ERA, BUT SLIGHTLY CHANGED. ALSO GET RID OF THE FAKE NEWSROOM IN THE STUDIO, AND REPLACE WITH LIVE SHOTS OF THE REAL NEWSROOM.

Yes Rob, your right about the glass. Also on the plasma's in the other News 24 studio, opposite the normal one, often have slides from the weather on them so this blue/green could be the source.

Although from the studio before it got it's slight revamp last year, you can get an idea from the following pics of what is 'behind the scenes' at the News 24 studio.

I think you should turn off caps lock.

It's never actually been a "live" shot - even when it was live it was on a 5 min delay in case anyone fell down the stairs.

Does anyone know why they still have the camera there seeing that they don't use that background shot anymore. I remember seeing some tall bloke nearly whack his head on it when entering the news centre! Clever possitioning... right by the door, lol.

Indeed. Personally I prefer playing something long and wooden.
