The BCB News music is not Lambie Nairn ... it's done by a guy called David Lowe who works with them on the sound.

Anyone want to give this David Lowe some lessons in playing some real musical instruments instead of a keyboard? Very Happy

Who made the music for the BBC One balloons? I always assumed that was L-N.

Not sure who did the balloon music but highly unlikely that's it's Lambie Nairn .. they just employ sound designers/music imaging companies to do it. They tend to do the design concept.

Martin, I'd treasure those photos if I were you. In the current high security state the Beeb finds itself under, it is highly unlikely you will be allowed to take any photos once inside the Beeb now.

In theory you've never been allowed to take any, having to get a photography permit from Security who would keep a close eye on you, but people turned a blind eye to it. Now however is a completely different story! Security swarms the hallowed halls & cameras watching your every move! You'd get linched very quickly nowadays.

LOL!! Do you play any, Jamez?

(I'll think of some way in which I'm not taking this off-topic. If we only briefly mention your taltents and not dwell then the whole topic hasn't been taken 'off-topic') Wink

Two months ago I found a *.pdf file with all the instruments David used for the BBC News opening titles.

You can download it here.

I think you may be confusing David Lowe with Chris Lowe (the News 24 and ex BBC One/Radio 4 presenter)

If only!

No I mean only ones outside tvc not actually in the building unfortunately! Even then I was being closely watched by the security gard across the road outside the main enterance.
