I've been looking through the Internet Movie Database
www.imdb.com
and found this rather interesting review

http://uk.imdb.com/Title?0240256 BBC News 24 including cast list

http://uk.imdb.com/Title?0262152 Breakfast

and

http://uk.imdb.com/Title?0283706 BBC News at Ten O'Clock

Yes...

I highlighted this fact to the forum back in the summer, and I'm rather bemused by it too!

The IMDB don't have a category for 24 hour news channels, so it has to be classed as a television series.

Whatever did happen to Janet Barrie? Smile

she was sent to Brussels for not having enough blonde hair which is why they hired Clarence.

See my theory on blonde hair on news 24 for the explanation.

I seen Janet acting as a correspondent last week! So she's still there somewhere.

One of the funniest things on the IMDb has to be the entry for Channel Four News... look at the user reviews..

EDIT: Aww, man, I've just checked and they deleted it.. it was full of sarcastic comments about Jon Snow's acting ability, the director's great use of framing and mise-en-scene and it being a very well made Chris Morris style spoof of a news programme.

The IMDb is at www.imdb.com or uk.imdb.com for the UK version (just different release dates on the front page I think) It's basically a database which attempts to include details of every movie and TV series or special ever made, along with all the cast and crew which worked on them. The data is entered by users, so obviously there's much more information on some movies, shows and people than others.

Actually there's quite a few people that work behind the scenes at News 24 on this forum, aren't there? Not tempted to add your names on to the crew list, are you? Wink

It lists Carla Romano - isn't she now on GMTV?

And on th subject of GMTV, does anyone know of the font that makes the logo?

If a TV series about News 24 was made, it couldnt be worse or dross than the channel (or get better viewing figures).

She is on GMTV now, but she used to work for Reporting Scotland.
