BBC NEWS 24 Promotions

Further to the recent comments on BBC WORLD, I note that a recent batch of NEWS 24 promotions appear to have been produced with low contrast levels. Any particular reason for this? The most recent example I've seen is that 'pat on the back' self promotion 'BBC NEWS 24 - reporting the news as it happens' or whatever.
