BBC News 24 (last night)

Last night, just before 0200, instead of playing the countdown, they played the BBC World News Headline bed which is used during the night on BBC News 24. Does everyone know what one i'm talking about?

Then at the top of the hour, the headlines. Some mistake that was BBC!

How long did they play it for, and did anyone get it?? I really want that overnight bed.

we had a few problems last night!

Also, I was watching N24 this afternoon and could have sworn that in the background the very bright BBC Choice ident appeared in one of the screens but CBBC on Choice is on at 3pm so that couldn't have possibly happened!

Could have been CBBC on Prime.

It only lasted for about 20 seconds unfortunately, but it had that wonderful BBC News picture which is used in the world studio next to the presenter. Can anyone get it and send me a copy?

Was BBC News broadcast from the World studio last night? I was watching it at 11.00 pm ET here (I think that 4.00 am GMT/5.00 am BST) and at that time the News is broadcast from the News 24 set. Plus they did not use any World branding and they used the 'BBC News' ending for the programme…

Yes BBC World/News 24 was broadcast from the World studio last night, with Susan Osman presenting.

So did anyone get it on tape, as i'd love both the bed and the still of the image next to the presenter.

Nicky, at the end of BBC World News bulletins, when they fade into the end titles, you get the image change on the screen with the pulses, and then it starts moving when the end caption comes on, well do they ever play the full end titles on screen, right from the image change? If you know what I mean!!

I would certainly love that still image before the image change, the BBC NEWS with the World 'cross' next to it, so if anyone can get it please let me know!!

AFAIK overnight, BBC World at the end of the programme uses the BBC News ending (it doesn´t have the copyright and the bbcworld.com address)

It's a good job one of us records every News 24 overnight countdown (I let the VCR do all the work, while I set it to record between *.57 and *.03 every hour!
