BBC News 24 / BBC World Combined

So TC7 is the Breakfast studio. Why is it just the evening output coming from there?

I was wondering what happened to Breakfast. Sian said yesterday she would be back with Weekend 24 and Breakfast on N24, so I presume it went ahead, and World just had to put up with it!

So, it may have infact been N6, but with Keshini Navaratnam sat where the UK Today presenter sits!

Maybe (as per other topic) the long sequence was used on BBC One's 12.50 bulletin because world was in N6 at 1pm so would be using the gallery and they used the long titles? Might be one explanation...

I thought that BBC World presentation was not available on any other mini disk other than BBC World, but you never know!

Some of the bulletins are joint ones from News 24 (although I think it was a cock up at 11 with the News 24 opening titles - should have been the generic BBC News overnight ones like at 12).
The short World bulletins have been coming from N6 - with the normal world newsroom in the projector (rather than the News Centre)
During the evening World output will come from TC7 - the Breakfast/Newsnight studio.
They're not actually building the set this weekend so don't expect any changes on Monday ... that work happens on another weekend .... it's techy stuff this weekend.

So which set in TC7 will be used? Will it just be the Breakfast news desk? Breakfast with Frost will surely be built in there for the morning as well....

Well at 2PM BST it was Mike Embley presenting with Overnight BBC News 24 World Idents from the News 24 studio. I've captured the world entrance into the bulletin, I'm uploading it right now...I'll give the URL in a few minutes...

It's a realmedia file but it's compressed into zip form because my webserver refuses to accept realmedia files.

I actually wondered what it would be like to have the overnight bed followed by the News 24 ident! So BBC World actually saw BBC News 24 presentation for the first time ever!

They don't build the Frost set until Sunday morning.
I imagine it'll be the brekkie news desk with the world newsroom backing on the CSO.

I'm not opening a new thread for this but I suppose it's relevant as the topic title features the words BBC and World.

not sure why it's only this evening .. probably down to technical reasons. It's only WORLD that's coming from there - not N24. Not sure what time it starts.
