N24 will not be getting a tree on set, for the reasons posted a few weeks ago... The set is used for World also, and so as not to upset countrys who don't celebrate, there is no tree

Why can't the overnight be done from the World Studio over Christmas if they put up a christmas tree.

Breakfast are I know that, they could put one in the national news studio

Wouldnt that be too much hassle just so News 24 can get a christmas tree, when every other part of the BBC has a christmas theme - BBC One, Two I dont think many would really bother whether a 24 hour news channel has a christmas tree, and anyway there always tinsel dust on the floor afterwards or someone knocks a bobel off!

I am but I just think certain things arent really necesary aswell surely the presenters could be left to make it feel christmassy instead of a tree.

Breakfast will be from News24 from 21Dec until 4th January, without a tree. It will also be on BBC2 rather than BBC1

Why are Breakfast moving? -is it due to staffing costs?
I remember Sophie saying that they were getting a tree due to 'presenter pressure' I think.

Will breakfast use the other 'soft' desk from 0800??

Breakfast are not moving, just using N24 facilities & studio over the Xmas period. There is no need to crew a full studio for Breakfast over Xmas because of the back half hour programmes being played out, such as Review of the Year etc.

I remeber last year, Breakfast came from N24 all over the Christmas period, and New Year, with one presenter on Bank Holidays, I think it was shared by Darren Jordon, Sarah Montague and Nici Marx, as I remember Nici presenting the morning we had a terrible snowfall here in the North West. That was the day I had to trudge out in knee high show to get the groceries for my mum!!

No tree?

What a bloody surprise.

God forbid the BBC do something that actually relates to the public mood.

Tossers.

Sorry I meant moving for christmas!

Can't they put the tree in the soft part of the N24 studio and use that for Breakfast and don't use it for the World news!!
