Politics & red tape are the most obvious reasons why they can't. Same old problem - World is commercial, the rest of the Beeb isn't

It's bloody stupid! I mean, it would save money!

I'm not saying that IS the reason - I honestly don't know, but that would seem to be one reason.

Well, today's edition of Reporters with Mike Embley appears to be a CSO.

Yep I noticed it too. I thought it was extremely obvious, especially when the pictures on the screens in the backgroups weren't moving. Where does Reporters normally broadcast from?

I swear to God that is not a real studio! How can you have to pillars that looked to have come out of the world studio!!

It seems to me that it is always presented from a virtual studio!

Then if it isn't a real studio, why was Mike standing infront of a CSO? It was so obvious!

Hmmm I wouldn't know how to explain that, it must be something to do with the studio building, I thought there is some graphics department next door to World or something like that??

That could be it, because all that section near the world studio would be closed off from broadcasting while the building work goes on. Well that's what I would think. All we need is for someone in the BBC to confirm this for us!

Reporters is always a CSO .... perhaps they only had a still available rather than the moving tape. But they will have had to do it from the national news studio this week (probably the same CSO area as used on UK Today) rather than World.

Well certainly as a news channel, it certainly does the job, however the presentation style is second rate to BBC WORLD!

I mean, BBC have shown they can have a lively set and good information based Presentation style, why cant this be passed onto News 24 which is supposed to be the centre of al;l BBC News output.

The presenters, schedule, programming is fine, its the way it is presented and the fact that they CAN DO better, that makes me want n24 updated.

The flags era was good, nice presenting format, viewer interaction, big set views, and making use of the whole news centre, why cant they return to that style, whilst using corporate style idents graphix etc.

Will they be getting a Christmas Tree? Also will Sky News be getting one in their new studio?
