Now to be quite honest there's nothing really wrong with the present studio, it's nice, symetrical (unlike BBC World) and has nice little television monitors and activity behind the presenters.
But if the BBC were to launch News 24 active would'nt it be nice to see a change of studio?, some enhancing of the graphics and maybe some presener changes.
A second coroporate era of News 24, just like we had two of the flags!
I think the studio's quite nice the way it is, however, I much prefer the BBC World one! If they were to do something like tou mentioned, I just hope the studio wouldn't turn out to be like something that Sky News has produced!

Oh no, nothing like that! Still in keeping, it even can be the same, I know loads of people like the World studio but I once again must say that I see both studio's day in, day out (I have an anlogue dish at hotbird you see!) I watch world news alot and to be quite honest news 24's is the best!
Is it not because they use some widescreen camera thing? I don't know what's it's called, but they use it on the National News, and it makes the studio look much bigger!

I think News 24 needs to be a lot more modern. They had a wonderful modern image with the flags era, but they decided to change it all for the current, slightly stale look. Bring back the frosted glass!
The set is much cosier than it looks on TV!! I've stood on it and my head was just about level with the top of the plasma screen, yet it seems a lot higher on TV!!

Yeah, god forbid a broadcaster other than the BBC do something right, eh Gary?
News 24 could improve it drastically by removing that stupid red thing.

They use wide-angle lenses which distort the view to make the studio apear much larger than it really is.
I think they are used widely in TVC. They are effective in TVC 1 - it's a large studio anyway but can be made to look massive using the right lenses. The best examples are Star for a Night, Comic Relief and Children in Need because the lenses just make the place just look vast!
I expect they're used for most things other than sit coms but does anyone know for sure?
