I doubt they would move the BBC News 24 DOG as its in the same place on all the channels. The problem is that they can't really move the web address near the clock. If it was below it would get cut off by people watching in 4:3 mode and it can't go above because that's where the live aston goes. The only place would be above the live aston, but then it would be floating in space when the live aston isn't there. They should get rid of the www.bbc.co.uk thing altogether and just put it on the titles.

I don't see why BBC DOGs have to so damned big! Why can't they have them the same size as the old UKTV DOGs? You'd still be able to read them for crying out loud!

I did notice the absence of a DOG on both channels.
Although in a moment of confusion I slipped and tuned the TV into CNN International to hear Jim Clancy saying...'we're going to Istabul now'. On the other end of the line was a Turkish phone exchange operator! CNN certainly know how to make fools of themselves.
And Bloomberg was off the air at 4pm. I was keenly awaiting the Abbey National share price, but I gave up and looked at SNA.

I can't STAND Jim Clancy - what a goon (god that's a 50s word!)

It would be better if they were more transparent. BBC Choice is awful though for it:

lBl lBl lCl CHOICE                                            And a programme
www.bbc.co.uk/choice                                   DOG here!!!!

Too many dogs. Why do we need the web address when there's hardly anything on it? Can't it just be on the idents like BBC One or Two? And why do we need a DOG telling us the programe? Does the BBC not realise that digital has a on screen menu guide?

Moan over.

In the gallery of News 24 there is a monitor showing a DOGless version of the channel. This looks much better!! Ii'd like the BBC NEWS 24 and the clock. That would be adequate. If they had to have an URL, why can't they use the proper URL, www.bbc.co.uk/bbcnews24?

The onset of the digital service might mean that the online dog is scrapped altogether. www.bbc.co.uk/news would probably be a better link for them to use.

The 'www.' bit on the top right dog  is complete waste of space though, you'd know the website without the weh weh weh bit.

And the site does work without it (well typed into a browser it does).

Very funny (!) Anyway, why doesn't your website link to your message board? (not that I can use it, thanks to my colleges webfilter blocking ezboard!!!)

A bit off here, but if you happen to see UK Gold or VH1 or whatever without it`s DOG,you`ll notice how clearer it makes the screen look,ie looks like a terrestial channel.I always thought how untidy and messy these DOGs make the screen look!

There seams to be a rule

the larger the dog the more low brow the channel
