I like both looks. But because I can't really remember the old one, I'll have to choose the latest!

I think the current branding is more flexible but the flags graphics were truly outstanding and way ahead of their time. Certainly went against the grain of 'normal' news graphics which i liked. I still think the flags music is still miles better than the current music on News 24, loved all those drums during the main sequence!

By the time I got Sky Digital, the flags look had long gone. I only ever saw the flags look overnight on BBC One, and even then only rarely as I wouldn't normally be awake at silly o'clock. I hadn't watched BBC News 24 on BBC One for ages when I got Sky, and was devestated to discover the flags had gone.
Since then I've grown to like generic looking BBC News 24 a lot, but it's still not a patch on the flags - especially in reference to the music.

I never saw the flags - i only got digital in June!
The flags look was cool, a lot better then the crap of today, the newscasters didn't wear jackets
The reason I don't like the current look, is the way they have adopted the graphics eg totally different graphics for sport, plus they only use the short sting at 15 past and not at 45 past.
They need to bring Sportsday to Sport Today(on BBC World) standards!

What type of digital do you have Mike? Joke!!! Don't hurt me! For anyone who doesn't know, Mike has......
TELEWEST ACTIVE DIGITAL

I first got TELEWEST (analogue) in 1996, so I remember the old flags look. But I always used to think the on-screen graphics looked as though they had been screwed up - they weren't very flexible with that orange line thing. Anyone remember?
