My wife and I have enjoyed watching BBC mysteries set in the past. Times like the 1920's, 30's, and 40's. We have watched the entire series of Poirot, Foyle's War and Miss Marple. Can anyone out there suggest other similar shows that we can watch? Thank you

Just to point out Poirot and Foyle's War were not done by the BBC but by ITV instead.

Thank you. Being from the US anything made "over there" is a BBC production. I apologize for my ignorance. I guess I am really asking for any UK mystery shows set in the past.

Thanks again

The Mrs Bradley Mysteries was set in the 1920s (the nostalgia element aside, though... it's not very good). And of course there's the various Sherlock Holmes adaptations.

Great. Thank Jenny. I will try it. My local library has the Mrs. Bradley Mysteries that I can try before I buy.

Another show set in that time was "Brideshead Revisited" by ITV granda, not really a mystery but one of the finest pieces of television made.

There is also Cadfael starring Derek Jacobi.

Thanks to everyone who has given suggestions. I will look into each of these shows.

I still welcome more suggestions because my wife and I want 3-4 episodes a week and need to have a backlog of good shows to watch. It is my job to find new shows to watch and I catch heck if I do not have a show ready to go. Sad

Thanks everyone.
