I wonder why my Midlands Today Slide Show has been removed from this site? Ikonboard Bug or was it simply too funny for the forum to cope with?

Midlands Today looks like a very 'friendly' show! I reckon that they've probably extended the front of the desk to allow the sports presenter to sit at the edge of it, as there probably wasn't room before (correct me if I'm wrong!).
I wouldn't be surprised if most regions did break away from the current look and go for something more LDN style (ie. not identical to the national news as it currently is, but still with the same theme). That would work well, especially if all regions were different.

It's probably just a bug in the system again...
... unless someone from BBC Midlands put an end to it... *suspicious looks*
Check your History log on your web browser and check to see if the link to the thread is still in there. The same thing happened to the WTC thread too!
On the subject of cameras (well, we were talking about it ages ago!), does anyone know where the BBC Oxford camera is mounted. I think I know - at a guess I'd say it's on top of Carfax Tower, but can anyone confirm? By the way, it looks rubbish - there are about a million better views of Oxford than the one they use on South Today - putting one on the roof of my house last year would have given a nicer view of the spires!
Yuk, thats way too blue (just like the old set was way too red and mustard). Obivously they're still copying the ITV News garish colour scheme idea. (The cityscape backdrop was even worse thoúgh, it just looked completly fake).
Looks very cold doesn't it? Not the colour scheme we want for the winter months!
Someone slip her a bar heater, she'll freeze in the Arctic!

the reason i like it is you dont actually see the 'news' bit of 'central news' on the background properly - reminding us of the good old days of central
A reason TV companies like blue GFX when they CSO is that if theres any fringing the viewer doesn't notice the artifacts of CSO (if it's a blue CSO that is! )
