Midlands Today has a new backdrop cam of Birmingham and also uses Music and titles for coming up! Any images available?

I take it you mean the view in the 'window' has changed?
What exactly is it? I presume you mean that the view which has been used at 2230 for ages is now being used at 1830 too(?)
The view I refer to is a view of Victoria Square in Birmingham City Centre, with steps and a water fountain in the foreground, and the Birmingham City Council building further back.
On many previous occasions in this forum, I have mistakenly referred to Victoria Square as Centenary Square. Having been to B'ham recently, I have realised that Centenary Square is the name of the area outside the National Indoor Arena and The Rep theatre near Broad Street (slightly further out of the City Centre).
I believe the Victoria Square view will be used all the time once BBC Birmingham finishes relocating from Pebble Mill to The Mailbox. The existing view for the 'window' - the distant Birmingham skyline as seen from the Pebble Mill rooftop in Edgbaston - is dreadful. No wonder the photo of Nick and Sue on MidTdy's website has the Victoria Square view in the window (and has done for months)!!!!!

Do they use a proper coming up sting graphic now? They used to do it when they first went generic and then got rid of it. But they always used a short edit of the main titles. Are they now using a proper one? Eg. a close up view of the region map shown in most other regions.
No, they are using a totally different view to the old Victoria Square view. Things are much more distant, but it appears to be in the centre of Birmingham. Possibly a camera placed on top of the Mailbox.
What, they may not move to the Mailbox after all? Are they planning to let the programme get even worse than it already is?
PLEASE! I hope the programme moves, even if not for a bigger studio but for newer technology. The programme has to used nice old equipment at the moment, surely if they didn't move they would have to upgrade all the equipment?
Anyway, I wouldn't mind if they stayed in Pebble Mill but gave the whole place a complete makeover inside with newer technology. Would suit me fine.
Ah well! Are they going to upgrade Pebble Mill in anyway? Of course, eventually it will have to be fitted out with 16:9 cameras, but will all the technology be updated and the studio kitted out, so they can build a bigger set?

I thought Pebble Mill was being demolished because it was falling apart.

yeah, i thought they'd already started demolishing part of it - i hope the rumours are true, if not i think they should do a 3 sixty media type job, like bbc manchester and granada - central havent got production capacity, neither have bbc midlands - seems obvious!
