GMTV Today
I watched BBC Midlands Today this eveing and at the end they didnt give any presents or standing up at all, all they did is showed the 2 main presenters sitting down behind the desk as usual, and showed some Christmas pictures at the end, but last year they gave presents and the 2 main presenters and sports presenter and Shefail, the weather presenter all stood together. I am not that keen on the last programme this year, i mutch preferd last years. Any other thing happened this year on regional news prgrammes for Christmas, for worst or for better?

thanks alot, GMTV Today, formely known as BBC Birmingham

i too was slightly dissapointed - but i think i had high expectations after last year's gathering round the christmas tree giving presents with nick kath shefali and christina - with a few punns and even fake snow... this year they only manage a pretend gift graphic on the desk, tut!

i mean how hard can it be to stand infront of a tree - say merry christmas, look happy, and even use their imagination - if i were there i would have had them round the tree, with the xmas carol in the background, then finally zoom out, and fade to a view of the pebble mill studios - then fade into the national headlines EASY!

with central new's happy ending (jo malin's face says it all) - though im suprised emma jesson didnt join them at the end on the sofa (as she was on the show) - to say merry schristmas - but at least they tried

Did anyone else see the new BBC Midlands balloon before the show with the balloon flying over the Bham skyline? I'm beginning to think I was the only one!
