Having now seem the clip and Eamonn was next to useless, firstly finding it amusing and then hiding behind Sarah!

It would have been interesting if tonight was one of those Lottery Shows where they mix live and recorded material together, like they used to with Winning Lines

And it's a rare(ish) glimpse of the face behind the voice of the balls...

Highly unlikely as those programmes don't have audiences

I think his face was put on a bit to calm the worried people in the audience (and Sarah). I wonder if the Lottery is invalid this week - aren't there rules about possible tampering?

Nice seeing Alan's face. Always wondered what he looked like...

Yeh Eamonn just wanted to get off, he didn't know what to do. Sarah was class though, "Off go on, get lost" as she grabbed the arm of that female protestor.

Err - what was the deal with studio audiences on this one, given they still haven't got a license yet? Would it have been corporate groups / BBC staff?

Shame Alan didn't have the Children in Need style TVC camera view to talk over, rather than having to make do with a jetset slide... Did he best though.

A BBC ONE pres slide would have been nice!

If these fathers had put as much effort into their relationships/marriages as they do their self-publicity, they might not be in a situation where they cannot see their children.

In case anyone was wondering what the banner said it was

"The Family Lottery
Next time it could be you"

The logo has been slightly photoshoped to look like a sad face rather than it's standerd happy one aswell.

I never imagined him to look that way!

There is a picture of Alan on the Wake Up To Wogan Radio 2 homepage - well used to be, don't know if there is now.

Well, that was another little bit of BBC history repeating there. As soon as I saw Sarah looking concerned down to the studio floor I thought at first she had mis-read a camera cue or something, then of course the protest began.

Eamonn is absolutely useless. What was he playing at? acting like a child. I mean, okay, it must of been quite worrying as to what they were going to do but it seems he completely gave up the fact it was live and couldn't keep it together.

Anyway, well done Sarah and Alan. Probably may have been better just putting the lottery draws off until just before the 11pm news (after Eurovision) but can't think it was needed and wouldn't have made much difference.

Well it seems Fathers 4 Justice planned this knowing that many people would be tuning in ready for Eurovision - hence getting their penny's worth. It sort felt like a lucky escape route going over to Terry in Athens....I think. Laughing

Not sure I'd agree. Taking a programme off air should be a last resort.

The programme gallery and Alan D did a superb job keeping things going. With timings thrown out the window, I believe the production team on Jetset and Red Bee on the subsequent junction did an excellent job. I'm sure bicycle clips were attached in the Nations though.

Didn't Brian Conley wrestle a streaker to the ground on the Lottery show?
