Thanks very much Asa.

Yeah, I think when he was interviewing the protestor on the phone, he was making the point that flares in a small studio with 200 people is simply not on, regardless of the reason for the protest.

God you would have thought BBC would have a bit more security than that. Funny, I was just thinking of the lesbian incident this morning. I expect the bosses are going mad at the moment.
When will that group ever stop? I thought they split up.
And as others have said, well done to Alan. Didn't hear it myself (the one night I didn't watch...)

I never usually watch The National Lottery, only watched it tonight due to the fact I got a Ticket earlier, but I was thinking about the time when one of the machines broke on air during the mid 1990's and it left (the late) Bob Monkhouse in a bit of a muddle, and the BBC had to go back to the draw later on, anyone else remember?
I thought it was odd at first, I thought it was Sarah Cawood making a mess of her lines, but then you heard the shouting, and then some fat guy rambling on, it was one of those moments where you're well and truly shocked, though saying it could have been worse, as Eammon was arguing on Sky News that this guy had flares in his pockets. Either way full credit to Eammon, Sarah, the BBC and Alan Dedicoat for handling the situation rather well.
As for F4J I have no sympathy for them, when they resort to rather low and desperate measures like these, it's no wonder why these men are not allowed to see their kids. But that's a Metropol issue...

They should have a lot more security, it was beefed up - supposedly - last week. Camelot have to have their own security in place to protect the machines and ensure no one rigs or interferes with the draw, Its a condition of their operating licience. Wonder who will get the blame for this one?

10mb, Real Media. I missed probably about 10secs at the start of the whole thing but it shows a bit of the commotion and Alan's wonderful improv.

Thanks Asa as always. By any chance did you manage to capture Eamon's interview on Sky News or were you on Eurovision at that point?
