While we're on the topic of opting here - does any other region in the UK use the full opening titles or any sting etc., to introduce the Breakfast opt outs? The only region I know is Midlands Today who use the full titles for a 2 min bulletin!! I definately know that Newsroom South East, North West Today, Wales Today and Look North don't, but what about the others?

Don't UK Today use the full titles and end titles? Most don't use any titles do they - and as they're meant to be integrated with Breakfast then this probably makes sense...

Well UK Today do, but they have more time - they don't have to do a weather summary, and the traffic is smaller than the regions. UK Today use the sting to start and then fade into the end titles half way through usually.

Yes, good point! Although the travel news here in Leeds is usually so protracted - we should have cameras of key junctions like the M62/M1 as they do in North West (if they still do this) and in London.

No they don't. UK Today has different titles to the rest of the regions, with slightly different music.

The Breakfast bulletins start with a short sting, and end with conventional English closing titles.

The 1330,1830 and 2225 use English opening titles (though if you listen carefully the music is subtly different to other English regions) and closing titles.

The daytime summaries and weekends don't always do the same thing. Often they start and finish with closing titles, though today at 1525 they started with the short sting.
