Who are those women? I don't recognise them.

Emily - main presenter

Oh silly me. I thought this was a news programme.

I don't mind the set, nor the LDN name. IMO news should be more interesting. There's no harm in pushing back boundaries, Channel 5 did it when they asked their presenters to stand up, now everyone else is following. But I do find it worrying when entertainment take priority over news.

Right, they may as well throw the BBC regional news corporate look out into the window and go back to their own identies, this is plain stupid! Why launch a corporate look, then ditch it in London!

I don't think that's going to happen at all, C@t. LDN (sounds a bit like a drug, that) is simply keeping up with London Today stylistically (sofas, shiny steel tubing etc) I'm sure the news content will be safe — it's in the BBC's charter, after all!

P.S. Does anyone else think the new set looks a bit like a Bond villain's hideout, what with the fishtank and sexy ladies and all?

From the few pictures we've seen already I think it looks quite nice and fresh, if rather minimalistic - just two big red chairs and a fishtank.

I still think they should have stuck to the corporate look; on the other hand trying to launch a brand new programme with the same look we've had for exactly two years would be a bit boring.

I don't really see the point of all this 'LDN' business, though.

I dont know what to say!!!

It has Gill Sans
It has rings
It is China Red

I wanna hear the music if someone can upload it, if its slightly corporate i am all for it, but if its not corporate, then i will have to resort to Scotland, UK today, ireland or wales instead.

I am interested thats for sure.

I don't think it's fair to say they've ditched the corporate look ... it's done by the same design team that does the rest of BBC News and the colour scheme is very BBC World ... also when you see the titles you will see there are elements of the corporate look ... I don't think you could look at it and say it wasn't BBC News ... it's just it's not the same as the other regions ... but it's from the same stable. And most people only see one region - not like the people on the forum who look at all regions.
Also the main news part of the show is done from upstairs - not sitting down - that's for sport and lighter stuff.

The music running through the trail sounded like a dance track, but it ended with a couple of seconds of what sounded like standard corporate drums and beeps, with the London Live 94.9 jingle mixed in with it.
