It actually looks pretty good - and the music's quite cool; a sort of a combination of the drums and beeps, with the BBC London Live jingle.

The look looks okayish.

But 'BBC LDN' as the proper title name on the opening titles (I assume from the background monitor) is *so* tacky!

Oh no, I'm not keen on that, it looks like an IKEA showroom again.

Blimey - looks more like Watchdog/Tomorrow's World than the news! Still, a very interesting and ultra-modern look, and pretty radical given that you'd have thought that the London region would have a bigger than average number of politician/business types who might prefer their news the old-fashioned way Wink

I really like it! It'll be really interesting to see how it all comes together on 1st October! Is that when the website/radio station relaunch as well?!

It looks 'metropolitan' - all ikea and posh coffee kinda look, suppose it outght to if it is a show for London - but London aint all ikea and posh cofffee - honest!. Have to wait and see I suppose - though by the look of that i cant imagine, for example, the morning travel reports coming from there.

OH MY GOD! I know I'll probably be attacked for saying this but I think it looks awful! It looks like a Starbucks/Internet Cafe! And as for LDN - what was wrong with the O-N and the other O. Are the BBC so short of cash that including them would be too costly?

Me thinks this a blatant attempt to get the news to look 'groovy' and 'hip'. (I bet that's what the focus group said when they were asked)

I hope I'm wrong in my next point but I hope that this doesn't lead to a dumbing-down with more entertainment and sport at the cost of proper news - it's bad enough on London Tonight we don't need the Beeb going down the same route!

So once again London regional news is being sacrificed this time for more soft 'news'. I just hope this doesn't last too long!

Am I the only one who thinks there should be a different style of presentation for the news - namely a desk at least and preferably a blue colour scheme?! I probably am but I don't care!

Am I also the only person that thinks the news should be for news - not entertainment, gossip and sport? Especially sport - there's more than enough sport programmes available for it not to clutter up the news and you could also say that it does sport a disservice only being a 5 minute block in the news.

IMHO this is unbelievably awful from what I've seen so far. I will need a lot of convincing otherwise!
