BBC Local Radio streaming

3CR, London 94.9, Southern Counties and Berkshire are now streaming online via the radio player...

BBC London 94.9 has been streaming for a good couple of years - It started when it was known as BBC London Live.

Great to see that the rollout has started!

I wonder if Berkshire, SCR and 3CR are the first to stream because of their proximity to the BBC web servers...?

That's exactly it - they can be recieved off-air in Maidenhead.

I understand the next stations to go live will be the North West ones.

It's at times like this you can spot the Media UK members!

Radio Oxford should be streaming very soon too.

Radio Leeds are on the hour as part of the news - usually pre-recorded so just a dry banter-free forecast
