BBC or ITV .....or neither?

What channel do you prefer? BBC or ITV .... or something completely different. I'm sure it's wellknown that the BBC have previously been streets ahead of ITV, but now are things starting to change?

I think it's the other way round TBH. I think ITV was very good a few years ago, but now it relies to heavily on soaps and reality TV, which is a great shame, because it can still churn out some bloody good dramas, like Diamond Geezer last night. But if it was down to qualioty and variety, then BBC win hands down.

I don't understand this constant obsession on this forum with comparisons and the necessity for one thing to be "better" than another.

You're hardly comparing like with like - and a lot of people here seem to have a misplaced loyalty to one broadcaster over another.

We have more viewing choice than ever, yet people don't seem to be able to cope with a "pick and mix" approach, but instead want to label whole companies/channels in absolute terms - when it can only ever be a subjective judgement.

EDIT - at least the wording of this poll recognises this by asking which channel people PREFER.

Usually people ask which one is BEST.
