Is anyone else not receiving any sound from BBC HD? I'm watching on Freeview HD.

EDIT @17:50: Appears to be working now!

Watching Planet Earth via Freesat now (19:15 on Saturday), the volume is fluctuating, sometimes slowly and sometimes quite drastically.

Not Freeview HD related but I once had a situation happen when all the HD channels on Sky had no sound whereas all the SD channels were fine. A quick reboot sorted that. Very odd.

Countryfile weather, in HD or upscaled SD? Looked like HD to me.

I asked that in the Weather Thread

Everytime I've seen Countryfile so far, the weather has looked to be upscaled SD. However they may have been making changes in readiness for BBC One HD I guess.

It did look very sharp, I wouldn't say HD, but very much upscaled. Any more clues as to when, specifically, BBC One HD will launch?

Also, with North West Tonight moving at some point soon to MediaCity, and having HD facilities, does this mean they will broadcast in HD ( or at least studio footage in HD)?

What is the plan for BBC One HD during local news anyway?

There will be a sustaining service. I'd like to see programmes from Scotland, Wales and N Ireland shown at 1830 daily, maybe a slot for River City for example.

Hey - that's a good idea!

Think you'll find the regional slot is too short for most 30 minute shows. (Most BBC 30 minute shows are 29'00" long - but the regional slot is nearer 26'00" isn't it?)

I see Danielle Nagler has confirmed that BBC One HD will have a DOG...
