HA
I think they should too, I've only seen BBC World Newsweek titles once, when it was played out by mistake.
Strangely though BBC World showed This Week in amamorphic(is that right?) widescreen i.e 16:9 picture squeezed into a 4:3 frame, luckily my 4:3 TV has a 16:9 letterbox function, so I watched This Week in widescreen!

No, your site is fine. In essence it is BBC News, and on the titles, it says 'BBC NEWS' and then 'BBC WORLD'!
Have any of you been on a trans-atlantic flight with British Airways? They start the in-flight entertainment with BBC World News, and I remember seeing the flags era a few years ago on the plane! However, they also now have a programme called BBC World Newsweek, which is usually recorded sometime on a Saturday afternoon, and on those titles, they have:
'BBC World
Newsweek'
This looks pretty good. The intro sequence is the titles, then the headlines, but followed by the tag instead of a sting, and the only other piece of presentation is the normal World News end titles, but with 'BBC World Newsweek' on it.
I think they should replace 'This Week' on BBC World with this special bulletin, as it does pretty much the same thing!

Well that mucks my site up then as I have a section of BBC News and one for BBC World News (George Alagiah!)

OOH - Asa, are you going to capture a BBC Four News version of it in widescreen and upload it to the BBC Four page.
I've been watching a bit moe of BBC Four recently as they've started to get more documentaries in. It's such a shame it isn't on during the day like Knowledge used to be.

When the 'Next' trail was the one which used the title sequence, voiced by the Asian BBC TWO announcer who's name I can't remember right now, it used to say
BBC WORLD NEWS
Next
during the day and
BBC NEWS
Next
during the night, UK time, with the voiceover changing too. It did look very weird, as if the news coming from the News 24 studio was somehow seperate, when it seemed the same, just from a different studio.
Just like the two hours after The World Today being BBC News but in TWT style - weird! And now I'm sure the 2000 GMT BBC World News is making it even more bizzare for World viewers. They should at least come up with a different title for it to show that it's different.

Actually, I've just been thinking - a while ago, (about a year) they used to use the World News opening titles with the announcer saying 'BBC News next on BBC World' before the top of the hour. Then, they changed it to 'World News next on BBC World'. After they ditched the idea of the News titles, and opted for the Symbol/Ident backing the trailer, they have gone back to saying 'BBC News is next on BBC World'. So I don't think they can make their mind up!

Yes, the TWT style 6am and 7am bulletins are strange - I think they are for the 'European Breakfast', but there will be probably quite a few viewers outside of Europe wondering why they have changed their music! To be honest, I don't know why the TWT bulletin, and the ones following, don't use the World Business and World Sport stings, as they just seem to 'hand over'. I think it would look a lot more professional with the stings. I remember after Christmas on TWT, they played out the TWT World Sport sting by mistake, and it has a TWT jazzed up theme to it - but it looks exactly the same as the BBC News one. Surely they must have a business one aswell, so why not use them?! I have a clip of the TWT sport sting if anyone's interested!
Also, can anyone tell me, during the 6am and 7am bulletins, they use the same break stings (music) as TWT does, but do they look the same on screen as TWT? I mean do they look like the stings used on the TWT programme, or like the ordinary BBC World News break stings?

IIRC they use the normal BBC World News stings (with BBC NEWS in the middle and BBC WORLD at the bottom) but, as you say, the TWT music.
I watched BBC WORLD in Asia, and saw TWT advertised on-screen as a breakfast show despite coming on at midday!
