Hah! For the first few minutes of BBC World news we had the Cbeebies DOG.. and we currently have no bbc four DOG... doesn't this always happen with the CBBC DOG on BBC Three
BBC Four & Cbeebies and BBC Three/Choice & CBBC have always shared transmission 'chains' and for a long time have shared facilities too. It doesn't happen very often that the wrong dog goes out. The more usual problem, certainly in the early days, was that BBC Choice and Four would go out on the CBBC and CBeebies EPG positions. This posed far more of an editorial problem because the later it got, the more adult programmes went out in the Children's section of the EPG!
It's possible I suppose that the DOG generator got 'stuck' and even if the automation system was chucking out commands to change the dog it decided to stay with the CBeebies one.

Still happens on Virgin Media, they basically 'unblock' the blank screen on BBC3 and BBC4 during the day to show CBBC and CBeebies, and same again with CBBC and CBeebies showing BBC3 and BBC4 in the evenings.
ISTR they had a massive problem on the first night of CBBC and CBeebies, Choice and Knowledge weren't available, and the announcers had to apologise for this.

You get a blank screen, do you? How novel.
I meant, the opposite, we get CBBC all day on BBC3 (Ch106), CBeebies all day on BBC4 (Ch 107), but VM used to have them blanked out during the day.
