I too will be sad to see the current batch go, as they are arguably some of the most distinctive at present. But the new ones look quite innovative and it will be interesting to see how they use them on screen.
It's time that BBC FOUR had a bit of a refresh. BBC THREE have undergone a minor refinement in the last few weeks, so I can't wait to see what happens to BBC ONE in the New Year (perhaps someone could produce a mock of all those dancers being machine-gunned to death!!!!!!!)

I've always thought BBC4 has had an air of Canal+ aboout it and this new look seems to strengthen this. I'm really looking forward to seeing this on screen and am pleased to see the square out of the corner. BBC4's logo is the only one that actually works for me and it looks great in the centre of the screen.

The BBC have proven they still have some design sense...
They ruined BBC One, BBC Two has become bland, BBC Three is a joke, but BBC Four was always interesting, but now it feels much brighter and cleaner. I love the colour scheme for the trailers.
BBC One looks set to change soon, so lets hope some of that imagnation goes into it...

Not a personal attack, but I can rarely understand this 'it's getting tired' comment. Very occasionally something might look dated, but on the whole, it seems to me that it's more about forumers wanting to see a change than about the actual package.

Although the current package is one of the best in the UK, it is starting to look a little tired.

I disagree, I think it's a valid statement, which I have heard used outside of TV Forum - about idents!
I would certainly describe BBC One's idents as tired, as they have been played so many times now, and aren't interesting or exciting enough in idea or execution to really capture peoples' attention or interest any more. I think tired is a very good word for them.

I agree with you benjy. Some changes don't have to be radical in order to signify a development or improvement of some sort. After all, BBC FOUR isn't changing its logo, just its presentation. It might just make people stop and watch for a while instead of "surfing" straight past the channel during adverts.
Channel 4 have always been very successful at this in the past, and they have essentially kept the same logo for 23 years.

I think BBC One or BBC Three needed this makeover much more than BBC Four, which has a great presentation package. Saying that I do like the look of the pictures posted, and can't wait to see them on screen.
