So LDN will become the back-up regional news programme now UK Today will stop. If UK Today goes off before all the regions are avalible on Sky Digital, then the programme they see when they tune into BBC ONE SKY EPG 101 will be LDN. But I assume there will be a seperate digital v/o saying 'This is BBC ONE, for your local programme, press red and select your region, or press TV then 1, but here it's time for BBC London News'.

This means that TV Home will be able to complete it's selection of Regional Idents Smile

Not quite - just ITV1 and 5 of the BBC regions. But not what Asa can't receive! Perhaps submissions via the feedback form would be a good idea?

Thinking about it, I can already get Wales Today, so I'd have 6 regions at my disposal!!

So this means that sales of SkyDigital dishes will be going up, UP, UP !

Lucky you lot will be able to get ANY BBC One region you wish. I'm stuck with imitation BBC. Sad Sad Sad

Dunno how much sales of SKY will go up. Cable is usually more popular than SKY in cabled areas. but as less than 50% of the UK is currentally cabled, SKY is still more pouplar.

All very good news of course. But if UK Today is to end, then what happens to (a) Breakfast on News 24, and (b) the afternoon bulletin on BBC2? The simple solution to (b) is to move it to BBC1.

That announcement would be completely meaningless for us digital terrestrial (and cable) viewers.

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the earth hear His voice!
Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
Let the people rejoice!
O come to the Father through Jesus the son;
And give him the glory, great things He has done!

Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to me,
How great thou art! How great thou art!
Then sings my soul, my Saviour God to Thee,
How great Thou art! How great Thou art!
