BBC: England match coverage

What was going on with the BBC today during the England match.

Before the game started the starting line up graphic had Seaman in goal (when it was Martyn).

They put up the wrong caption for a Greek substitute.

And when the score was England 1 - 2 Greece , they put up the score England 0 - 1 Greece.

BBC = very poor this afternoon.

Very poor for two little mistakes? Blimey, what do you want - perfection?

If I remember rightly they hadn't put the score aston up at 1-1 so it appeared at 1-2 wrongly but just as they faded it out it flicked to 1-2. Anyway, the goals were listed!!

And who cares - England are going to the World Cup!!! :

Well I watched it on Sky so didn't have to put up with any BBC nonsense

I was rather hoping we'd lose, for the simple fact that certain tossers in the crowd decided it would be hilarious to boo the Greek national anthem.

But what about Motty? Sky could never compete with him.

And it's official, he IS the perfect commentator.

A dead carrot has a more interesting personality than Motson, I simply can not stand him.

The Greeks struck me as being very talented. Must watch more Greek football.

i noticed that the permanent score caption in the top left of the screen was a bit off - the black was slightly to big - i only mention it cos bbc wales were using the old:
|B|B|C| Wales 0 0 Belarus
type caption on the same day, why have bbc sport gone mad with different caption/graphic styles? i think its good to change - but haveing a coherant style accross all programs looked proffesional - theyre following in ch5's footsteps!

Well yes exactly right, I do expect perfection. They weren't little mistakes they had the wrong goalkeeper, the wrong substition and the wrong score for goodness sake. Obviously the BBC had not prepared properly for the coverage, Motty had to apologise a couple of times for the on screen graphics.

God, I bet if this had been ITV everyone would have been coming on here going on about how crap the coverage was.
