I can remember when BBC Parliament broadcast audio only, no picture what so ever!

Do they still have 'the parliament channel' on cable? We got rid of cable years ago.

BBC Parliament replaced the Parliamentary Channel on all platforms when that collapsed.

BBC Parliament was only audio-only on DTT.

The BBC bought TPC out.

This is good news. Have they found a broadcast quality copy? The clip on TV-Ark is from a low-band Shibaden tape, á la the lost "Steptoe & Son"s.

Great if it is. One to set the video for.

Maybe they should do this weekly, with Labour's mid 1970's win, then Maggie Thatcher taking No 10 in 1979... right up to 1997 when Tony Blair got power. That really would fill those video tapes!

Also, the Friday afterwards, according to RadioTimes.com, they are showing Election 74.

Surely this is a very cheap way of filling the schedule?

Cheap in terms of cost, and cheap in terms of quality.

I can understand showing one election night for historical purposes, but to show all of them in a series?

Surely this is something which should be on UK Gold?
