So would you rather have a lie as a prime minister? Eh, all labour do is talk about the past and blame it on the tories. Face it, labour are going to win, just, but thats because most people just dont care anymore.

If you remember last time, it was cream and orange on the infobursts (now departed) when things were generic, turning to red/blue/yellow depending on the party.

Sky ditched their red/blue affair before the election in favour of a white/green set, with individual colour coding. I imagine they will have to do the same thing this time, because there's a bit too much red going on. Hope they don't just change the colour of the red slug to green, and leave it at that. The 2001 set were massively impressive, including the little poll tracker.

Is it me, or is Helen Boaden's tenure not going exactly well? It's one disaster after another.

The graphics will proberly be simarler to US elections. Any insiders that know yet?

I never really thought about the colour in the studios/on the logos connecting with the party. It would be quite difficult because red is Labour, blue is Conservatives and Lib Dems are yellow. Not forgetting the Green party. You can probably guess what colour they are.

Oh come now, this is hardly a disaster - assuming you refer to the colour coding "problem".

Yes a set of test graphics that hasn't even been broadcast yet is hardly a disaster.

It must be very difficult to produce graphics without having too much yellow, blue, red or green. The only solution is have the mismatch that BBC Parliament have or do it in Black & White

And those that do care remember Michael Howard from when he was in government last.

To quote Jeremy Paxman :

"Did you threaten to overrule him?"...

(I never tire of seeing that interview, and Michael Howard's refusal to answer a straight, but important, question)

And preserved for all eternity thanks to HIGNFY using the clip, in their DVD compilation !

How about, from Jon Culshaw's ITV show, 'Mr Blair, you're a fuell !!' Laughing

We've all got long memories, where the Tories are concerned !

Err, surely people remember the fuss in 97 when we still had the virtual studio and Labour were complaining it was far too blue.

I don't know about other people, but the choice of studio colour scheme doesn't make me want to favour one party over another. What I think *is* important during election programmes themselves is that you have a neutral colour for the main astons (e.g. a nice transparent black/grey) so you can distinguish between ordinary graphics and those indicate gains/holds/losses for individual seats.
