I would imagine that they use BBC Post Production resources for any online and transferring - but I might be wrong. Whilst it is common for production areas to rent and use their own Avids for off- and on-lining major edits, I would imagine that acquisitions do most of their stuff - basic versioning I guess - in linear tape suites. These are likely to be DigiBeta based these days - so cheaper to use hourly rather than own unless there is a high work load?

Hi,
I'm new here so I apologise if I make any mistakes.
I was just wondering if BBC Programme Acquisition have their own edit suite or if they use another one.
Thanks
