Has Morph disappeared from our screens now? I'm presuming Smart is no more.
SMart actually changed during the last couple of series to feature Mark Speight to a live (IIRC) weekend morning programme with a new American artist, I think they did carry this format on after he left (he left the show before his death) for a while actually.
Sunday mornings according to wikipedia. And the last Mark Speight series was the final format launch, it carried on with guests appearing for the last 2 series. Im pretty sure I read somewhere it was decided they would end the programme. Kirsten was expecting a child last year so I rekon with appearances elsewhere, she has left CBBC commitments after around 13years.
Morph wasn't featured on SMart for quite a long time though before the end.
In that BBC3 shock-doc where Kirsten was trying to get a topless shoot with a lads' mag, she basically said it wasn't the same after Mark died and she had to move on and do something else.
Sure this has been mentioned before - but presumably this means the end of CBBC shows in HD once they stop being broadcast on BBC One (and thus BBC One HD), particularly when BBC HD ceases.

Shame.
CBBC shows are still going to be shown on BBC HD at weekends, like they have been for a while now.
It does seem to have gone quiet now on BBC HD closing - I think the feeling seems to be if BBC2 HD launches BBC HD will remain and they'll take the spare Freeview slot.
I will be amazed if BBC HD survives. The whole point of axing it was to save on the transmission/scheduling/planning etc costs that running a whole extra channel incurs, and that a basic simulcast of an existing one won't. It wasn't because there wasn't enough space on Freeview...

Kirsten does still work for the BBC though. She presents 'The 4 O'Clock Show' on Radio 4 Extra.

The Director General has changed twice since then, remember. They probably changed their mind.
BBC2HD will replace BBC HD in late March. They're considering simulcasting Three and/or Four but it's still all up in the air in terms of where the money for that would come from. Given that an HD simulcast is obviously going to be cheaper than a linear service I'd argue that there's simply no chance that BBC HD will continue as a channel after March, even if there is a spare Freeview slot.
