Not BBC1 exclusive but with a BBC 1 background - presumably this will change the more details are added.

There are quite a few highlights this year, and I'm sure there will be even more appearing over the next few weeks. I didn't even recognise Harry Hill from the photo - I'm very intrigued by that.

Last year's bbc.co.uk/christmas - http://www.bbc.co.uk/programmes/p011kvk4 - went with the BBC1 Christmas ident/styling.

Yeah, hopefully when the pres package is revealed, the background will become more festive - like in 2013 and 2012.

This thread is strange, oddly so! BBC1 reveal their provisional Christmas Day line up and not a tinkering from everyone. Yet, show a really dull weather app ad and it explodes! I guess that's the eccentricities of humankind for you! Confused

Maybe because the Christmas Day schedule is virtually the same every year with the same big name shows, and not many surprises, whereas the weather app trailer is (relatively) interesting to talk about because it's presentation (i.e. the reason why we joined the forum in the first place) and it's the same advert but changed for each area, so people want to know how it was made.

But presentation is subjective - depending upon how you see it. If all we were meant to talk about regarding BBC1 presentation was the BBC1 presentation, we'd be talking about the red endboards, the red endboards with the clocks, the red endboards with the Easter motifs, the red endboards with a still of a current programme and so on! I regard BBC1 presentation to be about everything from idents, slides, endboards, programming, forthcoming programming and so on. Christmas is possibly the biggest time of the year for BBC1 presentation - it changes radically. So, I brought the subject up because it is an important one.

I was probably a little unfair though on the interest raised from the weather app ad. I should have been more respectful towards those who were interested in it, so I do concede that I was a little obnoxious in that respect.

I didn't say, nor do I think, that talking about scheduling or schedules in general is out of bounds - I was just explaining why people may be more interested in a new trail than in the Christmas Day schedule.

Isnt Still Open All Hours about to start broadcasting? I never notice that in the line up.

I've seen it mentioned in some of the previews for Christrmas. Hopefully it's an improvement on the pilot - it should benefit really from being a series.

I think provisional schedules have Still Open All Hours down for New Year's Day.
