If last year's idents hadn't run for so long, I wouldn't have had a problem with them. It was clearly made in the same way as pre-1991 idents: that wouldn't be so bad if they only ran for 3 days like they used to though!

For the money it probably costs them and the stick they'd get for spending such an amount on idents, I think they'd be asking for trouble if they only used them for three days and then got rid of them.

BBCtv have released their Christmas highlights. For all the talk of it being rubbish, it's actually a darn good line up. Films on this Christmas include:
The Muppets, Puss in Boots, Avengers Assemble, Madagascar 3 and Quartet.

Which one will get the Christmas Day slot? I'm going for Puss in Boots!

Well that's certainly a nice surprise - that should lessen the blow from repeats of Princess & The Frog and W&G.

Not long now. Here's hoping everything (including pres) is all worth the hype it's creating Very Happy

Yes, Wallace & Gromit belong to Christmas TV! I'm hoping for all four films again, plus the Were-Rabbit movie to boot!

Wallace & Gromit also belong to Easter and Bank holidays too.

Don't get me wrong, I do like a bit of W&G but when all 5 films are shown at every available opportunity that's when it starts to get tiresome.

Not that it'll stop me from watching one of them, of course Laughing

The Muppets deserves it for being the best film out of the ones you've listed.

press release here ……..

MEDIACENTRE on BBC.CO.UK

That lists the film premieres over the period as including Avengers Assemble; Puss in Boots; Madagascar 3; The Muppets; The Pirates! Adventures with Scientists [sic]; John Carter; Salmon Fishing In The Yemen; Quartet; and Albert Nobbs

I'd say "The Pirates! In an Adventure with Scientists!" is another candidate.

Avengers Assemble is a good choice for Boxing day night.

John Carter;

Aha, a tenuous excuse to post this image. The Christmas telly crossover I'm hoping for.

Personally I'm hoping for a 3D style Ident rather than the two dimension efforts of the past couple of years, but to be honest I'm grateful for any new ident and still have nightmares about the reuse of 2002 ident in 2003!
