For PRES monitoring, just like other chanels available on Freeview. I've got Freeview (Pace DTVA) in my bedroom, but Sky+ down in the lounge, so this Christmas, I'd like to take a VHS tape down and tape a load of Christmas pres from across the Sky, UKTV, Discovery and Virgin channels. Might even see what Christmas pres is on the MTV and Nickelodeon ones.
You see, I collect TV pres by recording it off air. I'm sure other pres fans do too.

How often do you watch the CBeebies shutdown Tumble?
In fact, how often do you watch CBeebies?

Four? Do you mean BBC Four? At 7pm tonight they showed the snow scene from Xmas 2005 and Xmas 2006 at the start of the news at seven (or whatever the bulletin is called).
If on the other hand you mean CHANNEL Four, I haven't checked that out yet. I'll do so the next few days. Nor have I checked E4, Film 4 or More 4 yet.

TBH, you seem to watch quite a lot of it. However, I'm not that bothered. Whatever floats your boat.
Still no sign of Christmas pres from Four?

BBC4: Yes, they have brought out the (albeit very nice) offering from the previous two years.
Channel 4: Little or no chance of any 'proper' ident - they do have some themed stings and breakbumpers, but no ident as yet.

Why a script at all, all they need to say is; "And now on BBC 1 it's Strictly Come Dancing". Most of these announcers come from local radio, where they seemed perfectly capable of hours and hours worth of unscripted drivel.

Just heard a massively half-assed announcement on BBC Scotland with a relatively funny line about the penguins. I'm going to predict a) that script was nicked from England and b) that the same announcer is on network as last week.

I can now reveal: CBeebies is reusing the same Christmas song from last year: "Happy Christmas From All Of Us To All Of You". However a fresh video has been made for it, I think the new video is better than the old one.

I think we can all rest easily now that information has been released.
