BBC Christmas Idents

Probably better cause it was the Doctor Who team that made it, not a small budgeted department. The same with the Wallace & Gromit ident from the year prior, although I doubt that needed as much money as The Doctor

The current idents is better then last years because it doesn't focus on one TV show. I felt really sick of David last year because of that Dr Who ident

Too early in the month to start airing these; but anyway...

A really nice look for BBC1 this year - the whole pres design; the resolve of the ident - well ahead of 2006 - 2008 and certainly up there with last year, IMO.

Again, I favour the arrangement for the news version of the symbol - in all, very good stuff

I agree. After the three notes, it should've just been ambient.

By the way, the BBC One Christmas promo for Drama (Link below if u cant remember) has some awesome music. Any idea who it is or what its called?

Strange the random usage of last year's BBC light-boxes on BBC Two's trailers.

Yes folks, I saw the Christmas 2010 ident on BBC One prior to the start of Strictly Come Dancing. Personally I think it was way too early for it to launch tonight, next Saturday (18 Dec) would have been plenty early enough for it to launch.

When I was a kid BBC1 didn't launch its Christmas idents until Christmas Eve. If Christmas Eve happened to be Sunday or Monday, they might have launched the Christmas ident on the Saturday prior to Christmas Eve.
