The Madonna Night on Choice promo - which is running on BBC One as well as Choice has the promo text - time, day, title etc top right (well 4:3 top right) with yellow cube-y things as bullet points, instead of centred lower 3rd as on other BBC outlets.

Could this be the new look being slightly creeping in for BBC THREE relaunch?
Probably created the idents the day after they announced the rebrand but couldn't be bothered to wait for the Department of Culture, Media blah blah to say 'yes' so they've put them out now.

New idents for BBC CHOICE is the last thing I expected! I would hope they could come up with better idents for BBC THREE than this, though at the rate the government is going it'll probably be years before it launches. What with the imminent start of its own news service, BBC CHOICE is practically the channel BBC THREE is intended to be - so why can't they just rename it and be done with it?

Well these new idents sure caught me by suprise....
I honestly think the problem with the choice ident sets is the lack of variety, I mean at least when it first launched the various idents all looked different (though with a similar idea of course).
I do like the new trailors though with the 3 blocks in the corner. Now all BBC Choice has to do is get rid of the awful DOG(s).

What would happen in the event of the Department of Culture refusing permission for BBC THREE? Would they continue with BBC CHOICE? What is there to stop the BBC simply renaming the channel>

Personally I don't like the idents. How long did they have the last ones? A few months?
And it seems like an odd time for a new-look -- they should have just done it when choice 'turned off' it's Nations feed.
I've only seen the idents from the clips on the TV Room -- but is there any specific 'ident', where the announcer doesn't speak over it (all the ones i've seen has the lady 'talking over' the animation and music)…

These graphics were obviously intended for BBC THREE. After all, there are three blocks!
I quite like them, simply because the last ones were poo.
I think the first idents were very good ones. They wouldn't fit in with the channels image now but they were very good. Actually there were 3 items so it could fit in now. Or maybe it wouldn't fit in with the 'yoof' image that they want to have.

Yes, the original 'heart' and 'punch' idents were great, particularly the 'punch' one. I wasn't too keen on the 'mouse' or the one which seemed to have completley unrelated ones on (an elephant, a daffodil and a trumpet anyone?).
Another good one was the CBBC on Choice one, which had a 'boxer' theme, ie. boxing gloves, boxer shorts and a boxer dog or whatever they're called. Unfortunately, it was in dull CBBC yellow and black graphics, but would have been good if real ones were used.
