Doctor Who wise, does anyone remember the days when during Children in Need we would get a specially made sketch or a peak at the upcoming Christmas Special on Children in Need? Now what do we get? Nothing. Just the Jodie and a companion introducing a competition.
They could have at least provided with an exclusive clip of the festive special, as it was filmed last year and all set to air, but no. Even for a charity of the BBC, the current Doctor Who team just can't be bothered.
I await the usual bombardment of replies from people not liking what I have wrote. Just my opinion. If you don't like it, fine.

The set is definitely in need of an update! It’s become a bit stale. They could’ve given the whole thing a bit of a rebrand especially as they are celebrating 40 years.
What did you have in mind? I’m sure you/we could knock something up
.
Haha, yes! Just something more current and in keeping with current design trends! It currently looks so 2010!! The update that Comic Relief had last year isn’t too far off what I’d do for CIN 😉
I know just the thing

You are not the only one to have noticed this. The word on the street is that a trailer for the so-called festive special is appearing online on November 23rd - Doctor Who's 57th anniversary. (Of course, this is only rumour based on an oddly worded tweet on the Doctor Who Twitter account that seemed to hint at it - 'mark the date in your diary', etc.)
They did something similar last year with series 12 - they could've dropped a trailer on CiN night, but didn't, instead waiting until later in November to drop it online. Which is neat in the sense they're doing it on Doctor Who Day, but more puzzling from a publicity viewpoint, as they reject the opportunity of promoting the show to a larger, more casual audience, then wonder why the last series got some of the lowest ratings for the show post-revival.
