And anyone old enough to remember 'Victoria Wood as Seen on TV' will recognise that as a repeat of the spoof continuity announcement from Susie Blake.
:DAnd her classic line, 'Well...I've had a lot of letters from viewers asking me where I get my various tops and blouses. I'd just like to say to all of those who took the time to write: mind your own business.'Very Happy

UK Gold do the repeats, but if its still available, seek out the BBC Video 'As Seen on TV' compilation. Its has load of Susie's IVC bits, and a great collection of 'Acorn Antiques'. SO worth buying...

Acorn Antiques - AKA Crossroads is one of the funniest things I've ever seen!

So, will 'Press Red' only be on Sky for the time being - u know with News 24's Interactive thing or will it be on all digital but only Sky can access it?

(Edited by MikeG at 10:24 pm on Nov. 16, 2001)

The 'i PRESS RED' button is added by the set-top box on Sky - and other platforms if they support an interactive application. It is not broadcast 'burnt-in' like other dogs.

It is likely that BBC News Interactive (aka BBC News 24 Interactive) with video will initially only be available on Digital Satellite and thus the 'Press Red' button will only be added by Sky Digital boxes. (The button can be removed, if you find it annoying, by pressing Backup... I find it VERY annoying...)

Yes, I think I would find it annoying too! Oh, well I suppose that's one good thing about having the worst digital TV provider (yes, worse than ITV Digital) in the country!

Nice to know that not everyone on this forum is too young to appreciate 'A nice cocunut macaroon'...

(Apologies to any bemused or offended younger readers)

IMHO Victoria Wood as Seen on TV was just the funniest thing on the box EVER! (Though 'The Good Life' runs it close...

Does anyone remember the old continuity announcements over closing credits along the lines of over the end of Blakes 7 'Paul Darrow is appearing in 'Whoops, their go my bloomers' in Kidderminster'?

Well Suzie did the classic, over the VWASOTV credits. 'Julie Walters is appearing with the Royal Shakespeare Company in Stratford... Victoria Wood isn't....'

And the best bit is if your in Northern Ireland - you won't have seen ANY of that whatsoever.

Just Westlife and S Club 7 singing plus a brief glimpse of the Big brother people.

And lots of regional cock-ups every minute it's a full series of Aunties Bloomers!

The macoroon was the downfall for Mrs Overall! Lol! Just shows how funny Victoria is! I say she should be Dame Victoria Wood!
