And anyone old enough to remember 'Victoria Wood as Seen on TV' will recognise that as a repeat of the spoof continuity announcement from Susie Blake.
'And we apologise to viewers in the North.... It must be awful for you!'
Susie did a brilliant continuing sketch as an in-vision regional continuity announcer - complete with bouncy wallaby (kangaroo?) who bounced for the birthdays (just like Gus Huneybun from TSW and Anglia's moth-eaten BC on Birthday Club) She was always smiling, but had a bitter and twisted quip (saying what other continuity announcers might just think... Geraint?!)

Anyone hear the announcement over on Two at 10pm? 'Mel and Sue on Room 101 on BBC Two now and we'd like to apologise to viewers in Leyton Buzzard.....it must be awful for you.'
Cheers, Asa

Yes, I always loved Susie Blake on Victoria Wood's show. She also did the Xmas Ident continuity on her Xmas Shows. You know, BBC Teatime, Knitwear etc.

:DAnd her classic line, 'Well...I've had a lot of letters from viewers asking me where I get my various tops and blouses. I'd just like to say to all of those who took the time to write: mind your own business.'
