I just caught an advert for Children In Need for next Friday, and on it had Michael Buerk, Jeremy Bowen and Jenny Bond dancing outside the BBC! It really was quite amusing! So I certainly hope that we'll get some of the News presenters doing something like that on the night!

Will everyone be tuning in? I know I will!

According the the tv bible that is the Radio Times the BBC Newsreaders will be up to something 'as you've never seen them before' between 9.30 and 10.00.

Also, past & present Blue Peter presenters will be paying a tribute(!?) to the Eurovision Song Contest (8.30 to 9.00) and after 10.35 'It's Raining Men for the BBC Weather Girls'...

I'll be watching!

I remember last year it was the weather girls doing their bit! It was realy good, so I wonder if it's now the boys turn to perform in front of the girls?

Perhaps Alex should completely strip off all his clothes for CIN - I would donate £5000 for that and I would definately watch!!!

Ah, but do you have £5000 to give away? I know I certainly don't!

Reading the news, perhaps?

Looking forward to seeing the Tunbridge Wells contribution for the first time. Also, you'll be able to donate online (though I'm not certain if this is for cable viewers, DSAT or both) using BBCi.

This forum obviously wasn't running a year ago but one thing they did last year was stream an audio feed from the gallery over the internet throughout the night which was great fun to listen to, so perhaps they might do that again.

Interesting to note that the Radio Times, as far as I can see, hardly mentions any regional opt outs for CIN.
I'd heard they'd been cut back this year ...
afterall if it's the choice between Westlife, S Club 7, Hear'Say and Terry and Grabby against Laurie Mayer in Tunbridge Wells I know which I'd rather have.
I assume DSat viewers will get a selection of regions like previous years.

Yes I've noticed that too.
On the Look North website, there isn't any mention of an event taking place at the West Yorkshire Playhouse on the night.

Of course, everyone knows what workaholic presented the BBC North sections of Children in Need, in his unique 'Alan Partridge/Radio Presenter' style.....
But who presented all the other regions stuff?

He was pressing the button to light up the Christmas lights at Meadowhall [Shopping Centre in Sheffield] (or 'the' Meadowhall as he kept calling it!)
