Two things I've spotted this morning.

1) News 24 hasn't got it's clock on although during weekend 24, the clock was on bbc two but not on news 24.
2) Parliament seems to be down and is just displaying a test card and tone.

I don't know about BBC News 24, but aren't all things parliamentary in their summer recess at the moment? - In which case, there's nothing for BBC Parliament to show.

That's the problem with the channel's very existence - there are large chunks of the year when the channel is rendered redundant, by virtue of the fact that parliaments aren't 'sitting' for 365 days of the year!

Now it seems to be playing its usual trailers sans sound.

The clock on BBC News 24 resumed after around 11.15

Maybe BBC Parliament could show some memorable moments from Prime Minister's Question Time, like a 'greatest hits of Tony Blair' kind-of thing. Or perhaps some parliamentary documentaries.

I was thinking the same sort of thing Katherine. It's a waste just letting it go for a few months.

They could show events in other parliaments (unless they are in recess) or show old footage.

They should just show the infamous Prescott Punch on a loop with the theme to Rocky playing in the background.

It would be the best ratings that BBC Parliament has ever had.

LOL - that would be a winner!

I think the Select Comms. are still going now, so there is stuff for them to show.

Some footage of Question Time would be good, it's always funny to watch and I'm sure it's not beyond the limits of possibility for someone at the Beeb to stick a constant loop of QT on.

Paliament should simply dispay the wavy things with the BBC Election Remix playing quietly in the background, now how much would that cost to tun, nowt

One Bank Holiday Monday I was watching what I thought was BBC News 24. When the headlines came at 08:15, they used the Breakfast headline bed. They were presenting Breakfast from the BBC News 24 studio!

Yes, they do that on Bank Holiday Mondays. At weekends, they do it too. Between 0600-0900 on Sat/Sun, Breakfast is on with Darren Jordon and Sian Williams from the N24 studio. On Bank Holiday monday, they had regional opt outs as well, and didin't fade their titles, so I got to capture clean Breakfast stuff!! I'll try again on 27th Aug! I think the last BHM was with Peter Dobbie and Carrie Gracie.
