Are you sure it's going to have it's own disk?

I would imagine it will be one track on a 'TV Themes' CD

Going by whats is said at bbcworld.com, it sounds like its own CD, but you never know!

I like the BBC World theme music that introduces the news bulletins and is used in the breaks. What is it?

Our 'breakfiller' music, when you see written items of news and information, has proved very popular, and we are currently planning to make versions of it available on CD, possibly by October 2001. Please check here again for news nearer the time. The short signature tune for the news bulletins isn't going to be available for sale.

' CD Release
Our plans for releasing a single with versions of the BBC World 'Breakfiller' music are pushing ahead, but we're sorry to have missed our target of early October. As soon as we have a definite release date we will put details right here on the website.'

I had a reply to the e-mail I sent the BBC yesterday regarding the BBC World CD. They simply said that it's being held back a while. So again this is more bad news!!!

Going off topic a bit, on this mornings Big Breakfast they used the current(I think) Central News East Music! - So its obviously on a themes CD.

it's on Library music, like the vast majorrity of Central News themes in the past 10 or so years!

Here's one of them
