I havent been in contact with the internet for some time and am slowly getting back but still waiting for a computer fair so i can build a new computer. I want to know if BBC World or its owner BBC Worldwide has said anything about the cd they were going to release. any info is appreciated.
We've had an unprecedented response to our 'breakfiller' music - the tune
used when you see written items of news and information during breaks - and
this has prompted plans for a CD release of versions of it. We hope that
something will be available from October 2001 and suggest that you might
like to check our website (www.bbcworld.com) at that time for the latest
information, but it won't be possible to download it from the internet. The
short News Bulletin signature tune is not going to be for sale.
Thank you for your interest, and for watching BBC World.
I wouldnt think the cd would cost that much cause they do of course want people to buy it.

Doesn't stop music companies ripping you off to the sum of 15-16GBP now does it?

I've returned (only briefly)
I don't think that there will be any stuff on the BBC World CD that we haven't heard before. The beeb should release all of its soundtracks on CD - especially the Balloon music, and some of the wonderful soundtracks to the BBC America identity symbols.
