Do any BBC regions still have the use of any BBC Buses? Also do any regional centres still have any public facilities like the Internet computer cafes etc, or are all these sorts of frivolous items long gone?

The last time I saw a BBC Bus was BBC Northern Ireland's in September 2014 at the Air Show in Portrush, Co. Antrim.

BBC Hull still have an open area with several computers (running Windows XP and three of them out of order might I add) for job seekers and social groups. Last I heard, their bus was decommissioned in about 2009.

The BBC Wales internet café in Newport closed down circa 2007.

I think there are a couple of buses still knocking around, which are not allocated to a particular station but can be borrowed by any station which required it.

Often used for big events or for FA Cup final build up programmes from Wembley Way.

I'm not sure exactly what is meant by a BBC Bus but where I live, in Elstree / Borehamwood, I used to see a bus service that ran quite regularly from BBC Elstree to White City (often having a Children in Need / Pudsey bear livery). Not sure if it is still the case now that Television Centre no longer operates.

That's the bus that shuttles staff between BBC sites. The buses in question here are hybrid computer suite and radio studio.

They would turn up and run internet training sessions and the like while doing contributions into the local radio afternoon show.

I think most of the public spaces have been ditched along with the BBC Shops.

At BBC Birmingham in the Mailbox it has recently been revamped as 'the blue room' with bits of modern technology iPads etc. The cafe and shop have been removed.

I'm fairly certain the BBC Shop at BBC Radio Merseyside in Liverpool is still going. It certainly was earlier this year anyway - haven't been past it for a while now though.

Radio Sheffield has its Open Centre still, but I think it's used more as a space for recordings with an audience (like the old Studio 2 in MkIII stations.)

BBC NI still use them for BBC Radio Ulster for outside broadcasts for example tall ships festival, clipper festival etc. but that is really the only use for them.
